August 28, 2017 SUAI welcomed Stephen H. Funk, a ConcordLift project developer, with his spouse.
Konstantin V. Losev, Vice-Rector for International Affairs at SUAI, held the talks between Mr.Funk and Vladimir A. Fetisov, the Head of SUAI Institute 1. Mr. Funk shared his ideas foreseeing joint projects. The parties talked on heavy-lift cargo and transportation efficiency issues to agree on future cooperation.

In view of the China Astronautics Day, 23-24 April, 2017, and the invitation by Wong Jinsong, President of the Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), Xi’an, China, the SUAI Vice-rector for International Affairs Konstantin Losev visited the PRC.
SUAI delegation spoke at the foundation meeting of The International Aerospace Innovation Association on the growing ties of China and Russia in aerospace and astronautics. The visit and the talks allowed for SUAI to join the Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities (ASRTU), as well as wider SUAI-NPU programs of student and professor exchange and NPU summer camps in aerospace and astronautics.
