2020 – it is as if two 20s came together: each one with its own history, destiny, joys and sorrows. Although they also came together in something one, common, unique – principal. Thinking about that, one may imagine what follows: and it is not bad at all – marvelous even.
Happy New Year! Happy New Decennary! Let everything be 20+20 during the year to come!

Dear colleagues, friends and partners,
During the year 2018 SUAI has steadily been increasing its international contacts.
Among the highlights of the year we shall name SUAI’s delegations to Xi’an for the Forum between Russian and Chinese aerospace, participation in the Global Partnership Week 2018 in Shanghai, the Supervisory Board of SSPU (Shanghai Polytechnic University) and visiting NPU (Northwestern Polytechnic University).
In 2018 SUAI welcomed more delegations from Latin America and the Caribbean, People’s Republic of China (PRC) and Korean advanced industry to sign important agreements on cooperation.
June 18, 2018 SUAI welcomed a delegation from a leading technical university from PRC – Shanghai Polytechnic University and September 4, 2018 a delegation from LG Electronics Inc. and LG Display Co. Ltd. visited the University.
Therefore, I would like to thank the accepting party of SUAI with all the Department of International Affairs for making our guests and partners feel comfortable.
I hope that the year 2019 will keep our positive tendencies.
Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!

The oncoming year 2017 is special if to recollect the drastic changes brought to the fates of our Motherland by its predecessor, the year 1917, a hundred years ago. And in the year coming I would wish you only one – but crucial – thing: the right choices.
The right choices by those willing to share with us not only our success, but our doubt and anxiety.
The right choices of what ought to be done with no sorrow and regrets afterwards.
The right choices of what will allow us to once again have the opportunity to choose and choose what will give us the freedom of choice.
Happy New 2017 Year and Merry Christmas!

This year Our faculty is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
25 years is, undoubtedly, a short term. Still we shall remember, after 25 years, that the Faculty was being formed and developed under the harsh conditions of the post-Soviet era.
The perception is not as acute now, but at that time it was about the very survival of universities. Everyone had difficult times.
Even the oldest–established humanitarian faculties and universities experienced that, not to mention Our young faculty!
The Faculty of Humanities was, in the shortest time possible, to declare themselves in terms of teaching as strong a division of SUAI as other, older, Faculties of Our University and of other universities in St. Petersburg.
Today we are confident: Our faculty has a highest reputation, it has become integral to SUAI, a modern Faculty of Humanities, a close-knit team inspired by the same aspirations and ideals.
But we are not resting on laurels.
We are constantly opening new directions and introducing new teaching methods, we are successfully conducting scientific research, expanding the horizons of international cooperation under the harsh reality of current geopolitics.
I believe that together we shall cope, and we shall live to see, at the very least, an interesting and active future.
Congratulations, dear friends!
The Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at SUAI,
Vice-rector for International Affairs

Our University celebrates its 75th anniversary in this dismal year of depressing forecasts and obvious macroeconomic downturn in Russia and throughout the world.
Let us remember though, that SUAI–LIAI was founded at the beginning of 1941, the most disastrous year for our Motherland. Nevertheless it trained scientists and engineers for the Great Victory and the post-war recovery.
Despite the Soviet industry collapse at the beginning of the 1990s, SUAI being allied to rapidly disintegrating aerospace industry not only managed to survive and save all its technical schools, but also began to develop in the field of humanities being a strong competitor for oldest universities of our country.
We may proudly say that during 75-year history our University has gained great potential in the field of quality of education and fundamental research activity as well as in overcoming all the challenges coming out of abrupt changes in political environment.
LIAI-SUAI meets the epoch of bitter trial for the country as a mature and powerful institution welded by the unity of its management and staff and it is able to adjust and get changed without compromising its integrity.
Happy Anniversary to Saint Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation!
Congratulations to all who study or work at our glorious University!
